Tips for MOTOR VEHICLE VERIFICATION                                           

Following are the procedures to make an application for vehicles verification :-

    1.    Location : Office of the Addl. Director General of Police, CID, Meghalaya Shillong located in
                          the Office Complex of Director General of Police Meghalaya, Secretariat Hill, 
                          Shillong-793001.

   2.    Timings :  10.30 Am. to 4.30 Pm. on all working days.

   3.    Advance information regarding the details of vehicle like, Reg.No., make & type of
          vehicle, model, chassis & engine No., seller's & buyer's name with full address &
          telephone nos.

   4.    Forms should be filled up on payment of Rs.20/- at the counter.

   5.    Spot issue of report.

   6.   Who can apply? Anyone who seeks to obtain information regarding any type of motor
                                  vehicles/two wheelers, either with a view to purchase used vehicles or to
                                  get information on the motor vehicles/two wheelers which have been
                                  lost/stolen/recovered.
